Shoe design.

Hi,


The assignment in the second hour we have art class at school we had to draw a shoe design. I had to look like a kind of sport shoe, you had to think of your own logo and then draw the sole, lining, outside and inside of your shoe. I had a 6.5 for the shoes I have drawn, it's okay but I think I really can do better. I found it difficult to draw the shoe like they are real but furthermore I found it a really nice task.

Illuminated letter.

Hi,

The first assignment of the second year in art class was to draw an illuminated letter.It used to be in medieval style, like in the middle ages. In the middle ages the drew illuminated letters with animals or with people from the bible or just with lines. They also used colours. I have drawn the letter L. 

I have got a 7.0 for my drawing. I think i did it well but it can be much better.

I thought it was rather difficult to make the letter medieval but i happy with my mark. (:

point perspective.

Hi,
<-- This painting I have drawn in art class. It is about point perspective. We had to draw houses/buildings with point perspective.


For this painting I had a 7.0.
I think I did it a good job but it could be better.

Aerial perspective landscape.

Hi,


The next assignment was to draw a aerial perspective landscape.
On the front of the painting you had to see details and 
in the painting you had to see perspective.
I've made this painting:

For this painting I had a 5.5.
I'm not really happy with it but mrs. Cleijne said 
to us that see gave low marks because 
in a lot of paintings there was no perspective in it.
I think she is right.
The next time I will do it better.

Apples etc.

Hi,
In art classe we had a new assignment about shadows and light.
We had to bring a apple to art. 
First we had to draw the whole apple then we had to bite
in the apple and draw them again.
We had to do this until you only had the core.
This is the drawing I have made:

The only thing is the picture is mirrored...










We also had to draw balls with a cast shadow and a form shadow
on black and white paper.
This is the one I have made on black paper:

The last thing we had to draw was another pice of fruit.
I choose a pear:

For this paintings I had a 7.0
I think it's a good mark, so I'm happy.(:

Johannes Itten.

Hi,

For art, we had to write something about Johannes Itten.

Johannes Itten was a Swiss painter. He also was a designer and a teacher.

He was born in Südern-Linden on the 11th of November in 1888 and 

he died on the 27th of May in 1967.

Johannes Itten was known because of his colours theory.

Below you can see the colour wheel he has made.
The primary colours are blue, red and yellow. When you mix 
the primary colours you get the secondary colours, orange, green and violet. The tertiary colours are made of mixing a primary and secondary colour. 

In the art class, we had to make a colour wheel like this one.

Banknotes.

Hi,


In the art classes we had an assignment about banknotes. 
We had to made 2 banknotes with ink. Patterns should occur in the banknotes
because in a real banknote there are a lot of patterns. We needed to draw 2 
banknotes 1 on the front en 1 on the back of the paper. Drawing with ink is very
difficult because it can stain. I've got a 7.0 for my drawings.
